My 30 [approx] days to 30 challenge

I’ve been eating way too much food while my mom has been visiting. I get back on track as soon as she leaves on Tuesday. I was doing well for about half the time she has been here (just for a week) so it’s not a huge deal. But today after an amazing dinner and dessert at Atlantic Fish Co, I was so stuffed I couldn’t breath. And then our conversation about how I am going to get on track after she leaves started.

So whilst brainstorming about my list of things to do this summer including working out, I have decided to kick things up a notch and do a “30 to 30 challenge” to get myself in gear. I am going all out, balls to the wall, for approx 30 days, which is the amount of time that is left until my 30th birthday (July 15). I realize it’s more than 30 days but I need to figure out a plan and wait for my device – keep reading- to arrive). I love doing ballet, but I am getting bored with most other fitness and I really need to eat better. I decided to use the Bodybugg, which is the device the contestants on The Biggest Loser use to track calories burned, and log caloric intake on the website. I got the version that shows my activity on my iPhone of course, and I will be able to sync it to my computer and view everything online as well. I have a friend who swears by it, and I can return it in 30 days if I am unsatisfied so it’s perfect really.

Now I haven’t yet exactly figured out what I am going to do specifically for fitness over those 30 days. Ballet will still play a role, but I plan on not really counting that as a workout, and still planning more intense workouts 5-6 days a week. Of course, I will be blogging all the way!

Stay tuned!

Great idea and I love the motivation. I plan on trying something similar for the month of June.
